Bummulu Malandrino - Ceramiche di Caltagirone Sofia

Bummulu Marauder

The Bummolo is a terracotta container used in Sicily to keep water always fresh even during the summer. The tradition of this object arrives during the Arab domination in Sicily and was used to pour water, oil or wine. Structured at the bottom with a perforated cylindrical base, it is turned upside down to be filled; when the liquid enters the pourer, it remains trapped due to a physical principle and can then be poured freely according to your needs.
